Manchester City is preparing a new contract that will be offered to Erling Haaland in the coming months, as reported by “The Athletic“.
The club plans to reward their star player, particularly after a clause that would have facilitated his departure in 2024, was removed due to the new agreement signed by Pep Guardiola.
Although Erling Haaland signed his first contract with the The Citizens until 2027, the player had a clause that would allow him to leave if another club paid Manchester City £150 million in 2024. However, this detail was tied to Guardiola’s future, who renewed his contract with the English club until 2025.
Haaland has been in remarkable scoring form for Man City during the 2022-23 season, scoring 47 goals in 40 appearances across all competitions, while also providing six assists.
